I’m honored you’re here.
For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my research, writing, activism, and scholarship to raising the alarm that an explosion in Gaza was inevitable. It has been a challenging and often a lonely journey, the details of which I will share through my writing here.
As the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza continues to unfold, I’ve used every platform available to me—primarily my account on X—to provide updates, analysis, and insight into the events in Gaza and their repercussions for Palestinians, the Arab world, and the entire world.
Now, as we anticipate a ceasefire and hopefully an end to the war, I’m launching this Substack to create a space for deeper engagement—a space free from the censorship of Palestinian voices, the manipulation of social media platforms, and the toxicity of organized bullying and harassment. Social media often stifles thoughtful discussion, and I believe we need platforms where ideas can be explored with care and nuance.
Here, I’ll focus on stories and analysis from Gaza, reflecting on its future post-ceasefire and the long-term reverberations of Israel’s genocidal war—not only for Palestine but for the region and the world as a whole.
